‘After her fine exhibition of energetic craft throughout this (all Bach programme drawn mainly from the rich field of the composer’s cantatas), on the following day, oboist Anna Starr collaborated with harpsichordist Donald Nicholson and cellist Kirsty Vickers in an hour of baroque works…Here again, the level of accomplishment proved gratifyingly high, Starr manipulating her two-key instrument with few signs of strain’.
